HISTORY
Founder "Rob" encountered life changing moments that led to establishing the Genericsking Trading Inc today. It was the year 2005 when his dad decided to have a routine checkup with the doctor. Unfortunately, the roentgenological report and other succeeding scans showed his dad to have tumors on both kidneys. His world crashed on him upon learning the devastating news. Wasting no time, the family consulted many oncology doctors both local and even traveled abroad to Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital for medical opinions. Rob, as the elder son, took the lead during doctor consultations, treatments and medications. His dad successfully underwent surgery to take away the tumors via embolization & partial nephrectomy and took a gamble on the newly introduced Dendritic Cell Therapy. Months after his dad’s operation, misfortune struck again in 2006. Now, his mom was diagnosed with stage 3 nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). His world crashed again on him the second time around. The family consulted with local doctors and decided to have treatment in Hong Kong Baptist Hospital that treats NPC with 98% success rate. Rob spent almost 3 months in Hong Kong for his mom’s chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment. There, he singlehandedly took care of his mom. During his idle time, he studied the notes he jotted down during weekly consultations with the clinical oncologist and researched about various illnesses and medicines. In less than 12 months time, both his parents have been struck with cancers. The year 2007, as destiny was tricky, misfortune struck the third time. Rob’s dad scan shows metastases on different organs; the disease has progressed and invaded other nearby organs. The family gambled on Xiamen Zhongshan Hospital’s treatment but to no avail. Rob’s dad health has deteriorated and rendered him immobile. After months of being bedridden, his dad passed away.
On retrospect, the family spent tremendous amount of money on medical cost. Rob was thinking that since all people do get sick, what will now happen to people that were not financially blessed? Getting sick is very costly but wanting to live with sickness is even more costlier. Knowing the burden that is shared by many people, Rob decided to try saving sick peoples' lives by offering affordable yet effective medicines.
Rob is Jesuit educated and hence share a common motto of being “men & women for others.” In the year 2009, he invested seed money to incorporate Genericsking Trading Inc.
Genericsking Trading Inc is a SEC & BFAD registered business entity and is a distributor / wholesaler of branded generics & branded innovator medicines, ampoules and vials, medical supplies and other pharmaceutical products.
