Tolu Balsam Syrup
Squill Bulb Syrup
Ipecacuanha Root Syrup
Licorice Root Syrup
Actions: Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretion to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive.
Indications: For the relief of cough and loosening of phlegm.
Directions: This mixture is recommended to be taken uninterruptedly 4 or 5 times daily once every 3 hours with equal volume of hot water or hot milk according to the dosage directions. The first dose should be taken after breakfast, and 2 or 3 doses during day time. The last dose should be taken immediately before retiring. It is advisable to drink some hot water after taking the mixture.
Precautions: Ask a doctor before use if you have a cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, or a cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus).
